HIV & AIDS Prevention team

CompreCare, through its partner, HospiVision, implemented the Choose Life value-based prevention program. The training program comprises three sub-programs: Choose Life Basic, Choose Life Advanced and Choose Life Youth. The program involves training leaders of faith based organisations, congregations and community members to implement HIV prevention programs focusing on abstinence and being faithful.

1014 facilitators were trained to date on the Choose Life program to promote HIV prevention through abstinence and being faithful during the current financial year, October 2008 and September 2009. During this period 115 788 individuals were reached with the Choose Life message.
