Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Andre Bestbier
Mr. Bestbier is a retired soldier of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) with 37 years of service under his belt. His final position held within the SANDF was Chief Director of Planning and Execution of Operations at the Joint Operations Division. Mr. Bestbier joined the company in June 2005 and is currently the Chief Executive Officer.

The Program Implementation Team

Mr. David Peddle
David served with distinction in the SA National Defence Force as well as the British Armed Forces. He filled various command training posts in the SA National Defence Force. He has extensive command, management and training experience as well coordinating efforts of state departments and other organizations to achieve a common goal. David will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the CompreCare OVC and other programs are implemented as planned and that employees of CompreCare and its sub partners receive applicable accredited training to perform their various tasks. Liaison and coordination with state organs and departments will also be his portfolio.

Mr. Jakes Mathebesi
During Jakes career he served as a South African Police Service reservist, was student leader at an NGO Christian Youth and beyond. He also assisted the Department of Education, FET College (Waterval-Boven Campus) as an Outdoor and Adventure program facilitator. He also served as a project youth development coordinator at a NGO, Action Laborers for the Harvest during 2005. As from 2006 Jakes performed the task of project manager and mentor a HospiVision responsible for life skills training and course management with great distinction.

Jakes will be part of a team responsible for ensuring that all the CompreCare programs are implemented as planned and that employees of CompreCare and its sub partners receive applicable accredited training to perform their various tasks. He will also play a very important role in the liaison and coordination with outside agencies, especially government departments at national, provincial and district level

The Monitoring and Evaluation Team

Dr. Eddie Harvey
Dr. Harvey is an experienced social work manager working in the social work field at both national and local level from 1965 to 2001. His expertise lies in the fields of child and family care, HIV AND AIDS care and management and combating of substance abuse. Dr. Harvey has been a part of CompreCare since its inception in 2002-2003. Dr. Harvey is currently the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager at CompreCare. His key role is to monitor program implementation and evaluation of services rendered through the programs implemented.

Dr. Harvey’s team includes Mr. Chris Tshwane and Ms. Deliwe Mankgane.

The Finance and Administration Team

Ms. Elaine Govender
Ms. Govender has been working in the field of finance and administration since 1997and has been a part of CompreCare since February 2003. Ms. Govender is currently the Financial and Administrative Manager at CompreCare. Her key performance are as are to manage both the organisation’s and program finances, oversee office, program and grants administration.

Ms. Govender’s team includes Ms. Michelle Doukas, Mrs. Lavinia Lowe, Ms Sabina Taderera and Ms Julia Chauke.

Resource Mobilisation Officer

Ms. Lize van Vuuren
Ms. Van Vuuren has been involved in Fundraising since 2001.  Ms. Van Vuuren assisted in raising funds to nine well-known charity organisations with events such as a breakfast with Sir Richard Branson, Celebrity Big Brother as well as various other events involving South African sports and former celebrities. Ms. Van Vuuren joined CompreCare as the Resource Mobilisation Marketing Officer in May 2010, to take lead to identify new sources of funding and other opportunities to raise funds for the organisation.
